My week

When people ask about my job, they always seemed surprised at how I'm actually able to cope, bring a tutor, running a cafe, and modelling.. And ive always just smiled and not give much thought to their surprise..

And it was not until this week that i realised that it is indeed quite a mean feat, being able to juggle 3 jobs and still be able to hit the gym at least 4 times a week!

Todays a fine example of how hectic my day can be:

910am

Arrived at punggol park for cleo mags fitness shoot.. It was great fun cos ive never stopped loving modelling despite the very humid weather.. I was perspiring horridly in the nike outfits provided..N a fitness shoot aint easy.. You'll really have to hold a pose while executing a move to train a muscle. Hopefully my abs turn out fine when that issue is out..

1230pm
Arrived at nebo cafe. Rushed over after the shoot all sticky and sweaty, hungry n thirsty. Had to be there cos there was a videoshoot going by a poly and i had to supervise. I even had to be interviewed unexpectedly in my not so appropriate attire and messy hair after the morning shoot.

Rushed off for my 1st lesson of 2 today.. Gobbled dwn measly pieces of sushi for lunch..

7pm
Finally had a proper meal at the fish pond. Left for home earlier cos i was too tired.. Headed home to clear my emails n to prepare for tuition the next day

Im pretty amazed! I guess things will have to change soon when i start to carry our baby.. Its gonna happen real soon, but im so gonna finish my 21km run 1st!

what a week!

This must be the most unlucky week!
Maybe im forced to take a break or sumthing cos things happened to prevent me from working twice this week!

First it was the accident on tuesday.. Was on my way to teach when it happened snd that lesson was cancelled..

Then, as i was heading towards punggol and then seng kang for tuition, the thunderstorm caused a tree to fall and block up 2 out of 3 lanes of the road.


The jam was so massive that i hardly moved and even had the chance to take the photo.. Post on facebook and sms pple..

Bcos of the jam, it was impossible to head over ro senhkang for 2 lessons.. So im back home resting..
What a week!

the accident

It happened today as i was about to head to my next lesson.. Well to cut the story short, the driver must have been dreaming and did not stop at the red light and so crashed into my car as i was turning out from a lane..
Cldnt avoid it cos there was another car turning beside me and he managed to stop..

But cos my vision on the right was blocked by the mpv, i couldnt see that the car had not stopped at the traffiv light..

Luckily no one was hurt.. But my poor babes front and raddiator got damaged and the fluid leaked out..





This sounds so much like my pri sch kids compo...

Anw, nice people came up to ask if i was ok
And offered to be witnesses.. So nice!! And the driver who crashed kept apologizing and even smsed later to ask if i was ok..

And thankfully mum in law had a good contact to help me with the tow and claims.. By the time i was done filing the report for accident, the other guy was still waiting for his tow truck..

Oprimistically speaking, i will get a new front part for my car n i only got a sprained ankle.. and am grateful to trav for taking me to the hospital..
He was quite a joke when he entered the doctors room.. I was in the room 1st and he came in later cos he had gone to the foodct.. He came back into the doctors rm with a greedy look and fruits in his hand.. I had to hold back my laughter..
Then he grabbed the doctors chair, wanting to sit on it.. And the doctor told him solemnly.."its my chair"..

My husband is just such a joke.. He doesnt even have to try being funny.. Great for days like these!
I Instantly feel well already!

And i just remembered i had a night mare last night where the boat i was in got swept by a whirlpool and i was really afraid i was going to die.. And sum1 pulled me out onto dry land and i recalled saying " im ok im ok..."
This was exactly what i said after the accident! Probably some kind of premonition huh..

travs hangout at the fishing pond

Our usual weekend hangout.. Travs fav place and hobby..I love the place too cos its away from urbanisation and everyone there is nice!

I usually bring him luck cos he always catches something when i arrive..today he caught this 3.5 kg grouper when i arrived..!! Sweet!!

It was extra nice today cos our friend at the pond was throwing a celebration for his kids burfday.. Everything at the bbq was ultra fresh! Red snapper caught by trav, prawns straight from the saltwater pond...

We even had our own drunken prawn made there

They Poured xo into the aluminium tray and held the foil down but in the end it was torn cos the prawns were so violent.. Pretty ingenious way of cooking huh.. And yea the prawns turned out superb!

It was a nice party.. Simple and cosy..

our 3rd trip to the zoo

I love animals so trav and i visited the zoo again 2 weeks ago.. There was a thunderstorm that day.. So our trip was kinda wasted and we only managed to see a few animals cos they were all hiding..



Love this cartoon!! So cute!!



We were waiting for the kids animal show to start when it started to pour with thunder and lightning.. Otherwise, i could have watched my fav little cats and dogs perform at this super cute set..


They cuddled so close together cos the storm and wind was really scarily huge.. And we saw one monkey scratching his hand just like us.. And for some reason, it looked so much like trav hubs hands..

skinny pizza

Finally got to try it! We had the mushroom pizza and i must say it is the best ive ever had! Ive always felt guilty after having pizza cos of the oily crust and toppings, but this is almost oil free!!

Im so going back for more!

It's my birthday!!

Its my bitrhday today and Im so happy despite having a swollen foot and little toe from my injury last week.. at least I managed to run for a while today and had quite a good workout on the machines..

Celebrations started last wk with trav on Sat and dinner with my family and in laws.. so happy that everyones getting along so well!

And there were so many birthday wishes when I got back from the gym.. so nice to see!

Birthday shopping starts in a bit, but thats if my feet can stand the walking and all for that long..I havent been able to wear heels for the past week (bimbo talk), so I had to match my clothing to my flats all of last week...=(

 I had to drag my foot to the gym last week! Couldnt really wear socks, so I tried to fit my foot into the shoes and used the crosstrainers only..

Anyway, its wierd to show a picture of my foot on a post that says its my birthday...
So Im off for burthday shopping!

Wedding preparations and counting down to the day

Xmas Gingerbread house at ORchard Hotel where our wedding will be.. Everything on it is EDIBLE!

Its been tiring having to juggle so much work and the preps for this Sunday.. So glad to have our parents who are more excited than us to help with the guest lists and management.

Some people are just super inconsiderate, acting as though they are some VIPs.. refusing to reply if they are attending...

Too bad.. we did not leave sets for them. neither did we send invites.. These are the people who reply saying "I will let you know later" when we ask them 2 weeks before the wedding.. not 2 months or 6 months away..

So when is later huh?

And then there are the best friends who will do anything to turn up, like change their flights just to attend the wedding, and those who feel totally bad for not being able to attend but send wishes so that we dont leave seats for them at the banquet..

Just cant wait for it to be over and get off to Taiwan cos Ive been working too hard..

Freshlook Illuminate Lens

Had a chance to be one of the Freshlook Illuminate Brand Ambassodors at their event last week. It was a great marketing campaign with us trying on the lens and doing a photoshoot at the event itself in the open area of Plaza Singapura.

I've always been wearing cosmetic lens but nothing felt as comfortable as the Freshlook Illuminate Lens. It was very light and my eyes could really breathe. Do not have any photos to post yet, but hope the photo turns out well..

Trav took me to the arcade to play one day, and played the games that dispensed tickets so that I could go change for little gifts, like the little pencil here =)
Just like how I did when I was a little girl..

Our next venture-- At Parco Marina Bay (Millenia Walk)

How happy I am, now that it is November. Its not just the "end of the year" thing that Im happy about, but also because I can have more time to breathe.. September and October were crazy months, running from lessons with my students to the cafe, to castings and to attend to the new Boutique renovations and preparations.

Finally, Trav and my latest venture, Baby by eddie ho. Eddie is our friend and he is also the designer of the clothing. Our shop is located at a very quiet PArco, Marina Bay. Dont ask me why we chose this mall, but after exploring the shops in that area, you'll learn to appreciate the uniqueness of the mall which has yet to be unveiled to the masses. (Hope it will be soon though...)



the clothes come in limited pieces, so it will definitely be safe wearing them out. The uniqueness about the designs are that they flaunt your figure and the material is really worth paying for too. Not that Im trying to promote my own items, but once you try them, you will know what I mean.



Am wearing a piece from the collection. Wore that to a wedding recently..really comfy.. size S is sold out already tho during the opening.

Before this pose, my heels went right thru a piece of wooden plank.. and I couldnt stop laughing.. had to act professional here to give that seriously in love look..

Gotta wait till the actual wedding day in Dec before we upload all the 34 photos.. otherwise the guests will get bored cos they will be so boring by then..

We travelled down to KL in June to have the photos taken.. amazingly, we managed 5 gown changes and 5 different looks.. all in a day! We even went far out of town to a beach, 2 other locations and did 3 different location shoots at the studio..very efficient we were, indeed!

A rare Sunday..and pics from my Aussie honeymoon

Such a rare Sunday it is today, where I get to sit in my room at home alone.. got up at 5 plus this morn for the Shape Run.. very happy that I am back to such events and that I can find a great pal to run with.. its refreshing to be running outside the gym, cos thats what I do every weekday and it gets soo boring..

A big part of the Aussie- Gold Coast trip revolved around food, and its no surprise that it is so, cos Trav dearee is around! So I took pics of most of the food he ate, to remind him how much a glutton he was!

One of our 1st meals there.. actually the 1st was a huge kebab wrap which we shared.. this is s super long hotdog.. with tooo much mustard and tomato!!

The styrofoam box on the left is the Kebab on a plate..we ate that for 80% of our meals cos it was yummy and healthy at the same time.. meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, parsley, cheese..
We ate that so that we could have more junk!!
And the mushy green thing is guacamole dip--dont know how to spell it..
We made it from the avocados we bought at the fruit farm, along with some sauce which they recommended to make this dip.. it went very well with nachos!
And so this was how we ate dinner most days.. sitting at the balcony in the cold winter, eating, enjoying the superb vew of Surfers paradise and the beach..

Honeycomb was what I junked on most over there.... totally addictive!! We bought about 7 packs there and came back with only 4.. so I had 3 packs in 4 days??!

We had loads of ice cream there too! but still, Baskin Robbins was the best! Why issit not in Singapore??!

Food haven...we spent loads of time at the different marts they had.. woolsworth, coles, kmart.. If we ever migrate there, we sure will turn into piggies!

 

Boiled crab! They way I love to have my crabs! This was one of the best ive ever had, super huge pincers! Yummm!! And we had them just after they were caught on board

On the way to the catch a crab cruise...we had to cross a border, so this was the landmark.. Me on NSW and him on Queensland!

On the catch a crab cruise..the traps were already placed there the nite before with a whole fish in it.. our crabs must have been really greedy cos the entire fish was gone! Anyway,I guess we didnt exactly caught the crab, just kinda pulled the trap up!

During the catch a crab cruise, we also went off board to catch yabbies as baits for fishing.. it was really fun. We had to walk thru a muddy area, use a pump to pump them out from below the mud.

At the fruit farm, we went around on a tractor cos it was just too huge to walk around it.. and there was a lil train ride too! Very cute! Oversized pple sitting on it!

And one of my fav part of the tour was looking at little lambs and sheeps!! The sheep runway was really cute!!

Aussie was great!!

It has been sooo hectic ever since I returned from Aussie Last Friday... havent had time to resize and look at the hundreds of pics we took!! And looking back at the past month leading up to our ROM, I must have been too stressed and overworked, so much so that my menstrual cycle has been affected..

So I went to get a test kit earlier and Trav was behaving like a daddy to be... haha... but he was soon disappointed.. no lil Trav..

When will I ever have time to write about the aussie trip??!!

Our ROM on 27th June

It was a beautiful Sunday morning last week, although it rained before the ceremony..

Glad that everyone arrived on time.. and my mum said the rain was like showers of blessings for us..

We decorated the place ourselves the nite before.. we actually bought a king sized bedsheet for the table.. no one knew!!  The lily on the table was chosen by me cos I always liked lilies..

This was from spotlight.. the ribbon too! We just matched them and it turned out quite well anyway!

The little stars of the ceremony.. lampy kept the rings in her pocket..

Didnt have time to bring my heels down from 3 storeys up, so i just wore slippers.. cldnt really be bothered about it...

The makeup was done by someone from the bridal shop.. I showed her a picture of the look i wanted, so it turned out pretty ok.. I think its important for a bride to know what she wants, and what kinda look suits her best, otherwise, it may turn out quite disastrous!

I chose to have a butterfly on my head.. didnt like the feathery thing provided by the shop... too old fashioned..

I saw this at a flower shop and Trav said he wld get this to paste his vows in...very cute and huge card!!

This was soo yummy.. a gift from guests.. Chocs from SINS.. expensive I guess..everything came in pairs.. we started eating the even b4 i even thot of taking a pic of it..

And the other day when we finished the chocs, i lied to Trav, saying there was another layer of choc below (like in butter cookies tins) and he actually believed me.. and for a while, his face lighted up, like full of hope and he was surely excited to hear that! until I told him I tricked him..

This is his relationship with all kinds of food..

Thanks for the gifts!! Got 2 pairs of wedding bears from friends..
It's been a week of being married and I just feel overwhelmed with happiness.. bcos I actually feel closer to daddy and mummy, and communicate a lot more with them now, prob bcos I dont get to see them everyday..
I also wake up everyday feeling just different, dont know how to put it in words, but its just a feeling that makes me much more smiley and passionate about everything I do each day..

And in about 3.5 hrs time, we are off to Aussie!!
