Our ROM on 27th June

It was a beautiful Sunday morning last week, although it rained before the ceremony..

Glad that everyone arrived on time.. and my mum said the rain was like showers of blessings for us..

We decorated the place ourselves the nite before.. we actually bought a king sized bedsheet for the table.. no one knew!!  The lily on the table was chosen by me cos I always liked lilies..

This was from spotlight.. the ribbon too! We just matched them and it turned out quite well anyway!

The little stars of the ceremony.. lampy kept the rings in her pocket..

Didnt have time to bring my heels down from 3 storeys up, so i just wore slippers.. cldnt really be bothered about it...

The makeup was done by someone from the bridal shop.. I showed her a picture of the look i wanted, so it turned out pretty ok.. I think its important for a bride to know what she wants, and what kinda look suits her best, otherwise, it may turn out quite disastrous!

I chose to have a butterfly on my head.. didnt like the feathery thing provided by the shop... too old fashioned..

I saw this at a flower shop and Trav said he wld get this to paste his vows in...very cute and huge card!!

This was soo yummy.. a gift from guests.. Chocs from SINS.. expensive I guess..everything came in pairs.. we started eating the even b4 i even thot of taking a pic of it..

And the other day when we finished the chocs, i lied to Trav, saying there was another layer of choc below (like in butter cookies tins) and he actually believed me.. and for a while, his face lighted up, like full of hope and he was surely excited to hear that! until I told him I tricked him..

This is his relationship with all kinds of food..

Thanks for the gifts!! Got 2 pairs of wedding bears from friends..
It's been a week of being married and I just feel overwhelmed with happiness.. bcos I actually feel closer to daddy and mummy, and communicate a lot more with them now, prob bcos I dont get to see them everyday..
I also wake up everyday feeling just different, dont know how to put it in words, but its just a feeling that makes me much more smiley and passionate about everything I do each day..

And in about 3.5 hrs time, we are off to Aussie!!

Elvinia's wedding

Yep so these are pictures taken at Elvinia's wedding, but she is nowhere in sight.. cos sumthg wierd happened to my camera when we took a pic with her and it turned out super blurred..

But she was definitely gorgeous and glowing..inspiring me with ideas and making me excited for my own too!

I think weddings are nice occasions for people to meet up.. especially those whom you've not met in years.. like the bride herself, Elvinia.. and Jessie too.. we all havent met since Miss Earth in 06..

Shn, who's gonna be one of my jie mei! She'll tower over all the guys and tekan them to death!

He is only 24... Wonder how he will look like at 30.

The class who always had the most stringent checks on discipline.. hair length, nail length, skirt length....

It was really sweet to have more than half the class and many other school mates at the wedding.. so proud of this class!

MY dear God Brother's Wedding =)

Had a super busy weekend last week.. sumthing is just not right with me.. I thought I've already had alot of rest...was supposed to attend the Ms Earth party on Sat but I zonked out...

I guess it was cos of the wedding that drained the hell out of me..But it was a sweet, lovely affair.. I was so touched when I saw the wedding videos I teared at times throughout the evening..


The wedding invite looked so cute.. the pics really resemble my god bro and his wifey..

It is the 1st wedding and probably the only one or two of an immediate family member that I'll ever attend..I treat my god-family like my own... cos after all, I spent most of my childhood with them.

I had lived under their care since I was a year old after dad and mum found out that the maid was feeding my milo instead of milk..Ever since, my godma, godpa, 2 gid sis, and god bro had always treated me much better than anyone at home.. I love reminiscing my childhood..

I lived with them on the 11th floor in Marine Parade. Back then, the night breeze and the lovely sea view and lights from the ships were lovely.. Everynight I would stand by the window and enjoy that breeze blowing strongly at me and waving madly at the sea..(I dont know y...) I still do love the sea and the breeze.. I still remember how my Godpa would bring me to Circus Circus, an arcade nearby.. He would just spend and spend on tokens so that I can get as much tickets i could to exchange for gifts. My Godbro would be there playing video games..

We lived near Parkway parade and we always walked there.. And the wet market which I always went with Godma to get food.. I still rem the stall selling live chicken, yong tau foo, the smelly kiam chye... noodles... I loved that my childhood was like this.. simple and thrifty..

I used to play with my Godbro cos we were around the same age.. He had loads of toys.. swords, guns, he-man figurines... And we would jump on the bed and fight with our swords..

It has been more than 20 years since I first stepped into my God family's home.. And Im glad and grateful that I still am a part of them today.. Anw, Li Hsia and my God Bro makes such a cute couple.. They are the kind whom i can never imagine quarelling.. 10 years of courtship since their TPJC days.. thats how much they love each other!

I was to be the female emcee for the wedding dinner that night. I had to look really presentable cos I had to be on stage alot.. I was at the hotel super early that day cos I was soo excited.. Had to make sure my makeup and hair was done properly for the night.. Did my own make-up but no matter wad, I just don't know how to do my hair..

This make-up artist was really fast.. dont know how she did it..

My Co-emcee, Cheng Siong. I finally got his name after we added each other on friendster.. It was kinda odd that I didnt ask for his name although we talked so much that night on stage and off stage..Both of us worked well with one another..

My God-ma and I with the bride and groom..the whole ballroom setting was lovely.. Nice Chandelier, flowers and stuff..

Bubbles came out in the background when the champagne was popped..

The night just passed in a flash..I guess the next wedding would be Valerie's...

My God Brother's upcoming wedding

The "wedding dinner age" is coming... I am reaching the age where people close to me are starting to get married..Friends, relatives...

First on the list is my God Brother, Kelvin on 28th MArch. This is one special event cos I get to sit at the VIP table!! This will probably be my only chance.. (My brother will never get married)

I will be the emcee for the wedding dinner that night. I'm quite excited.. it's my first time doing this at an event.. The only other time where I did such things was probably last year at my condo carnival where I announced the winners of the swimming event..

My voice was too mousy that it couldnt be heard on the central mic. It was me!! Cos uncle Johnny tested his voice on the same mic and it was thunderous.. =(

I guess I will be heard at the wedding, since it is inside the ballroom.. Yay I get to dress up and doll up and look pretty!! (The bimbo in Nette is speaking again)

I'd better get some voice lessons from David soon.. He said he would teach me how to project my voice... cos I am making him deaf from always speaking like a little mouse..
