2010 has been great so far and Im excited about what's to come in the year ahead!

After winning the Wedding game, I celebrated my 26th exactly a week later with my loved ones..

Had dinner with the family.. simple and warm..

At 26,I feel leaner after losing pounds over the last year..
I feel happier cos I have loads of love..
I feel excited cos we are getting married! And wedding preps is keeping me busy! It's exciting tho, we are doing our overseas Pre-wedding shoot in June..
Cant wait to choose my gowns too!
Am also excited about planning the ROM on 27 June, and the wedding dinner on 12 Dec..
We found a really nice and high ballroom and I cant wait!!

My ever supportive Mummy and Daddy

Something worth mentioning about my dearest mummy and daddy:

am really thankful for their support.. they turned up for both the semis and finals, standing throughout, watching us perform during the Wedding Game.. They must have been really tired standing for 2 hours each day... Big hug!!

And I must really thank Mummy for shouting out loud when they were about to announce the winner.. the emcee actually asked the audience who they thot were the winners... and my dearest mummy, who is usually introverted, shouted out so loud "2".. that I could hear it from stage.. How sweeet!!

And then on Monday, Daddy bought us the Shrek 3 DVD after the news paper article on us was out. He happened to walk by the shop and saw the DVD.. and bought it for us as a gift... or in his words, a "rewards" =)
Love u both!! Muackkkk

The New Paper Wedding Planner- Jan 8 to 10

The year began on a perfect note!! I'm really looking forward to the rest of 2010.. my bday, our ROM, our wedding shoot, our wedding.. and of course, hopefully, the NUS outlet.. it's time for expansion!!

Back to the WEdding Game..

I'm glad I submitted the application.. even though it took up the whole of our weekend, there's really nothing to complain about cos after all, we rarely have this much time together..3 days in a row..

I even had the chance to stay over at Travs place cos we had to report very very early..

Met loads of lovely couples..

Waiting backstage with your loved one is indeed different from competing alone in a pageant.. we could jsut poke fun at each other and forget about the Butterflies in our tummies..
( For Trav, its Butterflies in his ass hole... as said by him.. )

WE performed a dance cum catwalk..
It's been a long while since Ive done any shows.. So this really felt like a craving being truly satisfied!

We aced the QnA segment.. telepathy indeed!

During the semi finals,we had to act out a Taiwanese drama scene.. our own versions.. so we made it really funny.. hope I can get hold of a video of it..
At the finals, we had to do the voice over of a scene in Sex in the City.. so we went on, non stop.. and made it a lil funny.. it went really well! Hope I can get a video of it too!

We will never forget the sweaty palms and super fast heart rate when waiting for the champions to be announced.. We actually saw a tick beside our name when the emcee was holding on to the results and talking..
The feeling was like... are we the winners?? Maybe not... argh.. we were damn kan cheong and I will always remember how hard we grasped each others hands..
It felt really awesome when we were announced the winner.. a feeling we will never forget..no words can express that feeling..
We'll never forget the 3 magical days.. for a very long, long time..

Bridal and evening Gowns I love..

After the finals of the Newpaper Wedding Planner event on Sunday, Trav and I visited the bridal exhibition for our wedding shopping.. and since we won the Wedding Game, we had quite a bit of good offers..

Some exhibitors were those that I did bridal shows with, so it was nice to know that they all remember me..

We finally settled for Bridal Concept, and I cant wait for the gown selection and the shoot in KL!!

Browsed through some websites and saw these lovely gowns at Style weddings..
This two piece dress is unique, something not many brides would want to wear..

I'll probably wear sumthing like this for my wedding shoot.. It elongates my body and my legs will look longer in it too! Love it!
p
I'll also go for sumthing backless.. like this.. with a long train at the back.. cos my back is probably the only part of my body worth flaunting...
And I think it will make me look classy and elegant and not slutty at all!

This gown which I wore for the newpaper shoot years ago is lovely too! The soft ruffles make this whole look a masterpiece!

This gown also caught my eye! I'm definitely going for a Toga! It brings out my broad shoulders..
The thick sash at the waist is a plus!

Another almost backless gown..love the flowy skirt too! It gives the entire look a very soft, feminine appeal..

This is nice too! Bustiers are too boring and I think the top part of this gown looks refreshing!

This is probably something I would choose for the ROM or for the tea ceremony..simple,unique and shows off the legs!

I won sumthing in a lucky draw!

Good start for 2010!!
Received this last Thursday... got this letter from CTC informing that I won sumthing in their festive draw..

Thanks!! They got me a new name, Wee yue chun... what a horrid name...

Anw, it is a genuine lucky draw.. won a Stylux Blender..
Yay..

....Yay.....

My companion for 2010

That's aside from Trav dearee la.. (have to say this, or else he will nag)
This sounds absurd, but I love flipping thru the book to look at the cute lil creatures in it everyday..

Too cute to be eaten

But I ate one of it anyway.. cute lil bunny lian yong pau at Lao Beijing with Jing Hui, Trav and Tristan a Monday ago..

The buffet was dirt cheap, the dim sum nice, but the whole experience was just not enjoyable.. cos they took tens of years to bring ur order, which, except for the Xiao Long Bao, were all cold..and the place was filled with hungry ghosts that snapped up the food whenever new ones were out on the table..At least I enjoyed the 3 of them.. thank goodness

My Fantastic 2009

I am really thankful that 2009 was a wonderful, fufiling and blessed year for me..

am glad I grew out of the very depressing 2007 and everything just took a turn for the better from 2008 till this year, and Im sure 2010 will be as great as it was in 2006, which was kinda one of the most memorable year for me!

I acheieved great things in 2009.. loads of new things in my cafe and modelling agency businesses.. although both businesses were affected by the recession, we thought out of the box to make things work to ensure the businesses tide through the tough period.

At the cafe, we had events like the Flea Market.. I pulled in tenants for the 4 Fleas in 2009, we organised events at the cafe and had loads of promotions so that we could still survive..

At the agency, we branched into providing modelling, photography and studio rental services to online boutiques and businesses instead, as most other commercial clients were cutting back on expenses..

2009 is also the year where I worked my ass off.. tutored 7 kids.. it was enriching, but I was cheated by a tuition agent, and a parent, so I decided that I shouldnt be too nice and dedicated anyway..
So I decided that I should just teach those that I am kinda linked to, and the students of whom parents I know are nice and with integrity..Am kinda sick of teaching, so Im slowly gonna drop them one by one and stop teaching from 2011..

Am becoming more ambitious and am wanting to develop and expand the businesses I have now..dont wanna waste too much time tutoring and being stuck at just that..

2009 was also a year I got closer to more people who mean a lot to me.. My family, Travs Family, and some of my model friends whom I had more time to work with.. For a while, I was worried cos I had no" good" friends cos I seemed to have neglected them due to work.. but Im glad I have a few good girl friends whom I can have girly talk with =)

And come to think of it, all of them are super tall! (Taller than me in fact! )

My birthday was special too! Spent it supporting this giant at his competition.. and after that 4 bodybuilders came to sing me happy birthday at nebo..

Then Trav dearees birthday was a Gluttony one..It's not surprising though..

And most recently my dearest Daddy's 60th! I think spending one's 60th looking this happy is indeed a great acheivement and Im proud of him!

The was also the year Trav and I fell sick together for a whole week! It was fun tho cos we finally had the chance to rest in a very long time.. And a few weeks ago,Trav dearee had some problem with food going down his gullet.. that was the time where i knew he was the one I had to spend the rest of my life with cos I cldnt imagine not having him around me..(mushy, but true!)

And Fluffy fell ill too, for the 1st time in 8 years! We had to take him to the vet so often and I spent a bomb on him..But looking back, I must say Fluffy was a great bunny, cos he bever gave me any problems and the only other time I took him to the vet was when he reached puberty and I thot his testicles were cancerous tumors..

I also managed to travel a lil in 2009..Had a cold, white CNY in Japan..

Short break in Genting and KL..

Adventurous and more often, boring time in Bali

And the best holiday of the year in HK!
But the most memorable thing that happened in 2009 was Trav's decision for us to get married in 2010! The rings, meetings with contractors etc.. am looking to more wedding preparations in 2010 and 2011!

Now that 2010 is here, Im so looking forward to the many exciting things to come!
... the new paper wedding planner competition which will be held next week
... opening new F&B outlets
...managing the businesses on my own
...going back to modelling (something I really hope can happen, finally, after wishing for the past 2 years )

Xmas 2009

Spent Xmas eve at our cafe with some of the crew.. had nice yummy food..

Honey baked ham.. and apple sauce from the baby food bottle.. Trav's idea..

A rare sight

Last Friday,I accompanied Trav deary to his 1st interview..such a rare occasion where he dresses up like this..So I just had to take a snap shot of him looking so prim and proper..
