A rare Sunday..and pics from my Aussie honeymoon

Such a rare Sunday it is today, where I get to sit in my room at home alone.. got up at 5 plus this morn for the Shape Run.. very happy that I am back to such events and that I can find a great pal to run with.. its refreshing to be running outside the gym, cos thats what I do every weekday and it gets soo boring..

A big part of the Aussie- Gold Coast trip revolved around food, and its no surprise that it is so, cos Trav dearee is around! So I took pics of most of the food he ate, to remind him how much a glutton he was!

One of our 1st meals there.. actually the 1st was a huge kebab wrap which we shared.. this is s super long hotdog.. with tooo much mustard and tomato!!
The styrofoam box on the left is the Kebab on a plate..we ate that for 80% of our meals cos it was yummy and healthy at the same time.. meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, parsley, cheese..
We ate that so that we could have more junk!!
And the mushy green thing is guacamole dip--dont know how to spell it..
We made it from the avocados we bought at the fruit farm, along with some sauce which they recommended to make this dip.. it went very well with nachos!
And so this was how we ate dinner most days.. sitting at the balcony in the cold winter, eating, enjoying the superb vew of Surfers paradise and the beach..

Honeycomb was what I junked on most over there.... totally addictive!! We bought about 7 packs there and came back with only 4.. so I had 3 packs in 4 days??!

We had loads of ice cream there too! but still, Baskin Robbins was the best! Why issit not in Singapore??!

Food haven...we spent loads of time at the different marts they had.. woolsworth, coles, kmart.. If we ever migrate there, we sure will turn into piggies!

Boiled crab! They way I love to have my crabs! This was one of the best ive ever had, super huge pincers! Yummm!! And we had them just after they were caught on board

On the way to the catch a crab cruise...we had to cross a border, so this was the landmark.. Me on NSW and him on Queensland!

On the catch a crab cruise..the traps were already placed there the nite before with a whole fish in it.. our crabs must have been really greedy cos the entire fish was gone! Anyway,I guess we didnt exactly caught the crab, just kinda pulled the trap up!
During the catch a crab cruise, we also went off board to catch yabbies as baits for fishing.. it was really fun. We had to walk thru a muddy area, use a pump to pump them out from below the mud.
At the fruit farm, we went around on a tractor cos it was just too huge to walk around it.. and there was a lil train ride too! Very cute! Oversized pple sitting on it!
the ancient way of opening a macadamia nut.. and he stole soo many of it..! He hid them in the pocket
And one of my fav part of the tour was looking at little lambs and sheeps!! The sheep runway was really cute!!

Aussie was great!!

It has been sooo hectic ever since I returned from Aussie Last Friday... havent had time to resize and look at the hundreds of pics we took!! And looking back at the past month leading up to our ROM, I must have been too stressed and overworked, so much so that my menstrual cycle has been affected..

So I went to get a test kit earlier and Trav was behaving like a daddy to be... haha... but he was soon disappointed.. no lil Trav..

When will I ever have time to write about the aussie trip??!!

Our ROM on 27th June

It was a beautiful Sunday morning last week, although it rained before the ceremony..

Glad that everyone arrived on time.. and my mum said the rain was like showers of blessings for us..
We decorated the place ourselves the nite before.. we actually bought a king sized bedsheet for the table.. no one knew!!  The lily on the table was chosen by me cos I always liked lilies..
This was from spotlight.. the ribbon too! We just matched them and it turned out quite well anyway!

The little stars of the ceremony.. lampy kept the rings in her pocket..

Didnt have time to bring my heels down from 3 storeys up, so i just wore slippers.. cldnt really be bothered about it...
The makeup was done by someone from the bridal shop.. I showed her a picture of the look i wanted, so it turned out pretty ok.. I think its important for a bride to know what she wants, and what kinda look suits her best, otherwise, it may turn out quite disastrous!

I chose to have a butterfly on my head.. didnt like the feathery thing provided by the shop... too old fashioned..
I saw this at a flower shop and Trav said he wld get this to paste his vows in...very cute and huge card!!
This was soo yummy.. a gift from guests.. Chocs from SINS.. expensive I guess..everything came in pairs.. we started eating the even b4 i even thot of taking a pic of it..

And the other day when we finished the chocs, i lied to Trav, saying there was another layer of choc below (like in butter cookies tins) and he actually believed me.. and for a while, his face lighted up, like full of hope and he was surely excited to hear that! until I told him I tricked him..

This is his relationship with all kinds of food..
Thanks for the gifts!! Got 2 pairs of wedding bears from friends..
It's been a week of being married and I just feel overwhelmed with happiness.. bcos I actually feel closer to daddy and mummy, and communicate a lot more with them now, prob bcos I dont get to see them everyday..
I also wake up everyday feeling just different, dont know how to put it in words, but its just a feeling that makes me much more smiley and passionate about everything I do each day..

And in about 3.5 hrs time, we are off to Aussie!!

Bridal shows 2 weekends ago..

2 weekends ago, in the midst of preparing for our ROM, I took time off and did 2 bridal shows on Sat and Sunday..
Was great doing bridal shows again.. my last show was in 2006 when I was still with Electra Management..

The Sat show was at Gardenasia in far far away KRanji.. it was about 50 mins away from the east.. I enjoyed working with one of my closest babe, Shn and a another model whom I met in 2005s the new paper new face..

5 years later and we meet again! And now we are both with Phantom Management! Prob get more to work with Emiko again soon!
That night, the event was to promote having wedding receptions in a garden setting, so the place was very "flora and fauna" style...gowns were by Amanda Lee..

Her gowns, I must say, are very classy, elegant... I love the blue gown cos it was really easy to move around in it and the color suits olive skin tones..

And this gown here with the green trimmings is something out of the ordinary, something I would consider for my tea ceremony..but since Ive already gotten everything from Bridal Concept, I shall not want to spend anymore on these things..

Sundays show was for bridal concept.. the last time I did shows for them was in 2005 and am glad to be doing this show now cos I get to see the gowns that I can wear on my actual wedding day! Could even model in some of them!
They went with a Sping look, so make up was super colorful.. it was like a rainbow on our eyelids! I actually loved it, and may consider this for my own wedding! I prefer it unconventional, having done so many bridal shows, I no longer want to get the usual gowns and looks..

This gown has a very unique blend of blue and purple.. cant exactly decide what color this is, but I really love it cos the color doesnt age a person and it suits my skin tone..
This is a color I will never choose, cos to me,it ages a person.. the cut is nice tho!
This was a challenging gown to walk in.. it was totally backless, which I loved, but cos the sides didnt stick well to my skin, if I moved a single bit of my arms, the gown would open out and expose my inside!! But I would really consider this gown for my actual day, if that problem can be solved.

And finally, the bustier.. the most common kind of bridal gown.. prob wouldnt get a bustier for my own, cos its too common.. and now i cant wait to go back to Bridal concept to choose my gowns for DEc!

Married!! And am a Very happy girl indeed!

So much happened in the past weeks and I finally have the time to sit here to blog about all that happened..

Just last Sunday, Trav and I officially became Husbanny and Wifey.. and the weekend before that, I had a great time doing 2 bridal shows for 2 bridal shops.. and finally, the house is nice and we are nicely settled in..

So many pics to share!! and tonite, we are leaving for Aussie! Its been a while since we have had a nice break, so off we go till Friday, and then  when we return, it'll be a nice weekend to relax and enjoy! So its gonna be a very long hol indeed!!

Living in my new home..

Ive moved into my new home with Trav this week to get things settled down before our Big day this Sunday.. It has been quite a week.. busy with work and preparations for that day.. and we almost missed out on heading to ROM to collect the cert!!!
We were scheduled to go to ROM on Wed morning, and on Tue night at 9pm, we realised we had not prepared all the things!! So we rushed out.. i went home to get my parents ic... and i got a nice surprise from mummy!

She went down with my lil bolster Ive had since I was a baby.. she bought a new bolster case and handed this to me to sleep with at my new home!! I was really touched!! It was sooo sweet of her!

Mummy has been at home cos she is recuperating from here op.. and here are the gifts she got from our friends and her sisters..
I sure do miss my parents.. and Im glad I get to see my mummy at least, in the daytime.. I guess I gota get used to this..

Living with Trav means I get to eat a lot of home cooked meals.. being the food enthusiast he always is, he creates ugly looking but super yummy and healthy meals..like the one above..
And this was one meal which I really loved! I returned from my bridal show last Sat feeling tired and hungry.. and he prepared this carb free meal for me (except for the honey in my green tea..)

And this was a funny breakfast... I told him I didnt want bread.. so he cut the apples and topped it with konyaju jelly...he even chose the heart shaped one..
And living with him means a lot of food and snacks around me.. He bought so much snacks when he went to the supermart alone...and he put them all at my bedside table!!! here is one greedy boy!

Our wedding shoot in KL

June has been a crazy month.. the wedding shoot, house reno--we did some DIY things which took a lot of time, packing my tons of clothes and stuff to my new home, mums op (she is sooo brave!! Love U loads!!), preps for the ROM, and work..
Finally im almost settled in my new rooms and new living environment, which is not that foreign anyway..

Trav dearee and I went to KL two weekends ago for our shoot. Bridal Concept has a shop over there and they got us there for the shoot so that we have more unique backgrounds and sceneries cos they are also gonna use our pics as samples!

And because of that, they actually gave us loads of outfit changes and looks.. we managed to squeeze in 5 outfits in 1 day, even travelling for 1 hour to the beach out of KL..
The casual beach look.. we had to trample on the muddy beach.. I changed to a bikini for the shots in the sunset..

And this is the gown they passed to me over there.. love their gowns! didnt even have to choose, just wore whatever they gave me there cos they fitted so well and were gorgeous!

Love the team from Bridal Concept! Very nice and sincere, patient and understanding! Cant wait to see the pics!

More pics from the shoot..

very night is a surprise as I uncover more pics uploaded on KW's (the nice and supherb photog) site..And I guess he is done with the set.. 49 pics!!

Here are some that I love!!

These pics were taken with no assistant! This means that the photog had to hold the reflector in one hand, and his heavy camera in the other..and the wind didnt help at all cos the stands were threatening to fly far away.. and my hair was uncontrollably messy.. thats y so many shots are of me holding my hair..

....and I think with those said, I think he did a marvellous job!!

Photos from the shoot last Sunday

I wasnt happy with the 1st shoot I had, so managed to get another great photog, KW to collaborate. This time, I did my own hair and make up and styling.. It was easy to put together the looks cos the feel of the shoot was more laid back and I am really happy with the outcome this time!

Here are the few that KW has posted in small res..many many more to come! We took 400+ shots in a span of 1.5hrs! And we nailed each look!

More pics without the shades to come!! They are mostly at the back..so KW hasnt gotten that far out to the hundreds yet!
