A week of workouts! Back to long distances!!

Just ran 10km today and I feel really accomplished.. although I ran it in a very slow 63 mins, it was relaxing and smooth..Looking back, I was able to complete my 10km in 55 mins or less.. but I guess I did not enjoy the runs as much.. It was quite a coincidence cos once I finished my 10km, and when I pressed the button on my timex, my ipod died on me..

Such Great Timing!! And when I looked at the numbers on the watch, it read 1:03.33...nice!!

I had been working out everyday this week despite having diarrhoea..this is just me..the mentality that says: working out is the best medicine..

Was pretty irritated with an uncle yesterday at my run.. used to bump into him months ago and he always has the most things to talk about... which I really hate... And he likes to try and pace me, thinking I really appreciate it... but I hate...

So, to get rid of him following me, I suddenly sprinted off at my last 500m or so and pretended I couldnt hear him talking by turning up the volume on my ipod..

And once he couldnt catch up with my big strides, I took a detour at another route and gladly walked home.. hope I din break his heart..

Am looking forward to more runs in the weeks to come while I train up for standchart..

BTW, I always look wierd in running photos... maybe I really Run very "uglily"...
I remember the "butterflies in my tummy" feeling at the start line.. but the feeling of crossing the finishing line in tops surpasses any other ill-feeling before the race!!
And some of those ladies next to me are either in their 40s or 50s... but they look nowhere beyond 30!! REally!!
