The nice chubby cabby

I was a real kuku today...I was planning on going home after meeting a client... So after the meeting,I happily took a bus home (Which is so rare..) and happily got off the bus.. only to realise that my home keys were in my gym bag at Travs place..

sO I had no choice but to take a cab over to his place..

So I got on a cab and the cabby was a cute, roundish middle aged malay man.. he looked somewhat like santa.. he told me how friendly I was, smiling at him and greeting him, and was complimenting me all the time...

He said, no matter how pretty they looked, as long as they were arrogant towards him and looked down on him, they were the ugliest people he had ever seen..

Then I said to him... how true..very true.. with a big smile on my face..

HK Ocean Park with Trav deary

Travelling around in HK was a breeze! All we needed was a map and off we were to Ocean Park by train and bus to Aberdeen.

This cute lil billboard was spotted when we were on the bus.. I think all these adverts make HK a much livelier place.. you'll never get bored on long bus rides.. there is soo much to see!

The bus ride was quite comfy.. this in fact, is our 1st bus ride together in 6 years! AMAZING Trav would say..

And here we are!!! Ocean Park is unlike any other Theme parks.. it prides itself on being a place not just for fun, but also to educate the public on environmental issues and also on endangered wildlife. There were posters everywhere telling pple not to use straws.. etc and they recently built enclosures for pandas and some other animals to live in.. something like a mini zoo

The tix had their cute "mascots"!!

And off we went to explore the place and some park rides..

Too bad.. he couldnt get on the merry go round.. the carousel ride actually..I used to ride that a lot when I was a little girl at FunWorld in parkway parade..with my mummy!

The Mine train..thi the 1st time Trav and I are riding on a roller coaster together in 6 years! And for some reason, the moment we set foot in the carriage, we knocked our heads against each other sooo hard..it hurt for a while..
We also took time to make new friends at Ocean Park...

Acting stupid.. actually he need not act..It is just so him..
(see why below)

Hop scotch was one of those kiddy pri sch game I played in my convent school..

Dont know the name of this cutie..some kind of panda i think

Lunch was really yummy.. the sandwich was huge..bigger than subway..Trav had this ierds
sion with sandwiches in HK.. dunno why.. but he would take pains to walk long distances just to find sandwich shops.. he hardly likes walking when in Singapore..
Yummy submarine sandwiches

The toy I won on my 1st try.. Very lucky!
We won 4 or 5 toys in all! I think the stall master must have specially chosen this drumstick as his prize

I havent seen Flamingos in a while, so it was nice to see them at Ocean Park. I like that they look graceful.. I dont know why but I associate them with models.. must be the long skinny legs

Escalator shots....

The long escalator ride down to the exit..It took about 10 or 15 mins for us to get down..

Hong Kong Hong Kong...

The shoes that took me to the lovely places of HK...

Went there with shoes full of stars.. But we walked sooo much that I came back with so many missing ones =(

Came back with 3 mags.. prefer these mags to those in Spore. even tho everything is in Mandarin, the lovely pics with fashion and make up tips make me force myself to read the chinese characters word by word..

It's worth the effort I'll tell ya...

And this is one of my fav buys..amongst the 3 bags, loads of clothing and many other things bought there.. got this sudded bag for only S$18!

Magnets I got daddy and mummy.. bought soo many couple things for them..

And we actually revelled in the Xmasy spirit by taking pics with the Xmas Deco at the malls!! We hardly do that in Singapore no matter how nice the deco is..

Cute lil animals at the Times Square area..

My little friend =)

The deco at Harbor City has got to be the best! Lovely lights and purple themed ribbons, flowers and cute lil angels, plus all the people around made it feel like a real holiday..
Looking forward to Xmas!

Daddy's 60th Birthdae celebration

Just a day after Trav and I returned from HK, Daddy celebrated his 60th! He initially just wanted a family dinner but since it is something worth being proud of, we decided to throw him a small party at the pool bar..

Bought him these balloons...
Which Daddy used as bunny ears later on...

Food... mummy never fails to make sure there is more than enough food for all.. More than enough means having food for 60 when there are about 30 guests..

More food..

Mee Siam catered for 30 can feed 60..generous supplier

Delifrance desserts.. nice!! Eclairs were so yummy i didnt bother about how it affected my waist line..

Hapy family!!

He is always this spontaneous and fun! Loved the purple bow on his neck, made from the ribbon of the birthday cake box..

This is how much he is looking forward to having Grand children.. He asked all the kids to cut the cake and blow the candles with him...
haha I get the hint daddy..

Godiva Chocolates

Tasted Godiva chocolates for the 1st time towo days ago.. It was a gift for my dad. but it went into my tummy instead..
This $50 chocolates didnt really live up to expectations.. No doubt the packaging is lovely.. and it says limited edition, and the chocolates were cute and xmasy (which I always love.. I love all things Xmasy cos it is my favourite time of the year), but the chocs just didnt taste special.. quite a disappointment in fact.
I'll still go for Royce =)

My Cute lil Daddy

Daddy just celebrated his BIG 60!! And he gets cuter by the years..

Look at the little bow he has on his neck, made out of the ribbon used on the cake box! And BTW, thats a cake made to look like a tennis ball..

Today, he came to me and gave me $50.. and said: this is for u. I gave mummy $200, Bernard $50 (my bro) and $50 for u too! Take and buy ur own things... cos he just terminated his insurance and got a lump sum of $. That was really cute of him cos the last time I got pocket $ from him was about 3 years ago.It made me realise how grateful I am towards daddy n mummy for spending tons of $ on me..and its quite a shame that I am not giving them any $..(they dont want it either)

And I hear, he is going to get mummy a COACH bag.. and a branded watch.. rolex or sthg.. Sooo sweeet!!!

Overwhelmed!! (with love and joy)

This week has been a blast!!

Monday to Friday was spent with Trav deary in HK and loved it! We explored the lovely and super lively country together ( he paid, I planned! ) and I cant wait to have time to upload the pics from my camera and write about it!

I feel really recharged! Got back late yesterday nite, and even though i knew work had piled up, it didnt bother me much..

Sat: woke up at 730am for tennis with daddy... Surprisingly, I didnt feel tired even though I slept way past midnight..it must be all the holiday high still in me...Spent the whole morning working on my mails and clearing work.. and had a great evening celebrating daddys bdae with some neighbors, family and my bros cute little godson..

Tmr: After Chruch, we'll be meeting the designer again to look at what she has come up with for our room and the walk in wardrobe which will be converted from the roof terrace on the 3rd level. Cant wait to see what she has!

Dec: Am gonna be choreographing a model showcase at Century Sq for 3 weekends! Its gonna be really exciting!!

That's all, till I have time to load the pics!
