HK Ocean Park with Trav deary

Travelling around in HK was a breeze! All we needed was a map and off we were to Ocean Park by train and bus to Aberdeen.

This cute lil billboard was spotted when we were on the bus.. I think all these adverts make HK a much livelier place.. you'll never get bored on long bus rides.. there is soo much to see!

The bus ride was quite comfy.. this in fact, is our 1st bus ride together in 6 years! AMAZING Trav would say..

And here we are!!! Ocean Park is unlike any other Theme parks.. it prides itself on being a place not just for fun, but also to educate the public on environmental issues and also on endangered wildlife. There were posters everywhere telling pple not to use straws.. etc and they recently built enclosures for pandas and some other animals to live in.. something like a mini zoo

The tix had their cute "mascots"!!

And off we went to explore the place and some park rides..

Too bad.. he couldnt get on the merry go round.. the carousel ride actually..I used to ride that a lot when I was a little girl at FunWorld in parkway parade..with my mummy!

The Mine train..thi the 1st time Trav and I are riding on a roller coaster together in 6 years! And for some reason, the moment we set foot in the carriage, we knocked our heads against each other sooo hard..it hurt for a while..
We also took time to make new friends at Ocean Park...

Acting stupid.. actually he need not act..It is just so him..
(see why below)

Hop scotch was one of those kiddy pri sch game I played in my convent school..

Dont know the name of this cutie..some kind of panda i think

Lunch was really yummy.. the sandwich was huge..bigger than subway..Trav had this ierds
sion with sandwiches in HK.. dunno why.. but he would take pains to walk long distances just to find sandwich shops.. he hardly likes walking when in Singapore..
Yummy submarine sandwiches

The toy I won on my 1st try.. Very lucky!
We won 4 or 5 toys in all! I think the stall master must have specially chosen this drumstick as his prize

I havent seen Flamingos in a while, so it was nice to see them at Ocean Park. I like that they look graceful.. I dont know why but I associate them with models.. must be the long skinny legs

Escalator shots....

The long escalator ride down to the exit..It took about 10 or 15 mins for us to get down..

I love the red pandas too! Singapore do have some of them as well. :)
